London Rippers Fold

Call it strike four for London and minor pro baseball.

The London Rippers, beset by money issues, ceased to exist as of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

Frontier League commissioner Bill Lee confirmed that fact late Tuesday night after the Rippers lost their final game 4-0 to the Wild Things in Washington, Pa. He'd met with the players just before the game to give them the news.
